How companies manage employee performance and reward staff are undoubtedly crucial factors when it comes to attracting top talent, and motivating teams to deliver great business results. But research shows that many companies struggle to get it right when it comes to performance management, with many still using out-dated processes that involve time consuming write-ups of past performance, that have little impact on future results.

More and more companies are questioning the value of analysing past performance based on goals set 12 months ago, and rating individual performance on a scale to determine rewards. There is now widespread consensus that on-going performance management and providing feedback and coaching real-time is more effective in creating a highperformance culture and delivering long term business success.
